The Bihar government has declared a seven-day state mourning and yesterday (August 17) one-day public holiday on the demise of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The Central Government announced a 7-day state mourning on the demise of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Tricolor will be bowled across the country during this period.

The Delhi government has decided to pay homage to Atal ji. All schools, colleges, offices in Delhi will be closed. Three-day state mourning in Punjab and work will be closed on Friday. In Jharkhand, the government has also declared a 7-day state mourning.
