New Delhi: Kerala is battling the biggest devastation of the century. In 100 years, such a devastation has not seen Kerala. Over 350 people have lost their lives. More than 8 lakh people are living in relief camps. A red alert was issued in 11 of the 14 districts of the state which has now been withdrawn. Idukki and Ernakulam are completely cut off from the rest of the state. Hundreds of rescue teams are engaged in whole life in the midst of the worst situation. What army, navy, air force,NDRF, ITBP is fully prepared for all relief and rescue work. Due to water filling, Kochi airport has been closed till August 26. But in place of Kochi Naval Airbase, it will be used for commercial flights from Monday.

- More than 15,000 people have been evacuated from the affected area due to heavy rains and floods in Kerala and rescue operations have been expedited in areas with very bad conditions.
- National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has said that in the southern state, in the worst conditions in a century, a total of 58 teams are working in difficult situations and every team has about 30-35 workers. A spokesman for NDRF said, "The situation is recovering in some places due to the depletion of water, but the campaign has been expedited in the affected areas like Tiruvalla and Chengannur (Alappuzha), Alva (Ernakulam) and Idukki coast."
- According to the spokesperson, during the time of difficult situation, the NDRF teams saved 348 people and 50 animals. So far, more than 15000 people have been evacuated.
- After eight August, more than 350 people have died in the worst flood of the century in Kerala. Idukki district has the highest death. 43 people have died here. 8 lakh people are living in relief camps. Thousands of people are stranded in their homes without food and water. Kochi International Airport is closed till August 26 due to the infiltration of flood water in the runway and other parts of the airport.
- Union Health Minister J. P Nadda said on Sunday that his ministry is helping everybody in flood-stricken relief operations in Kerala, where 3757 medical relief camps have been made. With the torrential rains coming in from August 8 in Kerala, public life has become disrupted and more than 350 people have died in the last ten days.
- Nadda said, "We are regularly monitoring the situation of flood in Kerala. The Health Secretary is in regular contact with the health officials in the state and is keeping an eye on the daily situation through the Disease Surveillance Network. - According to the official statement, 3757 medical camps have been made and according to the request of the state government 90 types of medicines have been sent to Kerala. - Kerala Chief Minister Pinarai Vijayan said on Sunday that a total of 846,680 homeless people were living in 3,734 camps and the last phase of the rescue operation is going on. - There are reports that this flood is the most devastating flood since 1924, which has resulted in the death and heavy devastation of 370 people so far. The Chief Minister said that the next goal is to make people normal to life, for which work is being done on a plan.
